George Greenough

Greenough My Freind Grant Newby from the Wooden Surfboard Blog and the Fish Fry Blog was down in Byron Bay the other day and had a chat with Greenough and also took these pics. The boat is a boat he designed himself for surf rescue. I know a lot of us are huge Greenough fans so was stoked when Grant sent us these.

Wooden Surfboard Day

Grant Newby of the Wooden Surfboard Blog organised a wooden surfboard day at Currumbin Alley (Gold Coast, QLD) on the 24 of Aug this year. Here is the video of it. I wish I could have been there. It looked like so much fun and so many beautiful boards. I spoke to Grant and next years Wooden Surfboard Day is Aug 8 2010. Gonna make it for sure next year.

Japan Batch

These boards all went to Japan but unfortunately I didn't get to see them after they went to our awesome glasser Jeff Hull (Resist Surfboards) and his awesome polisher Pancho ( who worked a Beaty's for years). Ryan said the glassing was incredible. The cool photos are courtesy of Morgan Maasen

Storm

Stuck in one of those storms that Venice is famous for. Just came out of the naval museum and want to know why this rubber from 1940 is in such good shape and my rubber only lasts a couple of years.

Venice

Venice is a great city to visit. So easy to get around and your constantly looking up in wonderment. The one downside is that in the summer there are so many tourists. The lines to get in anywhere are a bit of a bummer.
